Ingredients
  • 1 cup salted butter, softened
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 1/2 cups icing sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup candied (glazed) red and green cherries, diced
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325F.
  2. In a large bowl combine butter and egg whites with an electric mixer.
  3. Add in icing sugar and continue mixing until smooth.
  4. Add flour and salt.
  5. Mix until dough forms.
  6. Stir in the diced cherries and mini chocolate chips.
  7. Press the cookie dough out evenly onto a greased 10 x 15 inch cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for 23-26 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the top is very light brown all over.
  9. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before slicing.
  10. Enjoy!
